Minister of Music: Min. Lewis Webb, Jr.
Music has always been a vital part of the worship experience for centuries. The purpose of the Music Ministry is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through song, encourage believers in their walk with Christ, lead the congregation in worship and provide an avenue through which individuals may share their gift and be an integral part of the worship. Additionally, the Music Ministry spreads the Word of God through music experiences. The divisions of the Hutchinson Missionary Baptist Church Music Ministry are as follows: Adult Choirs, Male Chorus, Praise Team, and Youth Choir.
The choir provides worshipful music for assigned church worship services and special services outside the church.
• Membership:
- Adult Choirs (H.H. Johnson Zionnaires, Sanctuary): The membership of adult choirs shall consist of individuals, minimum of 18 years of age, who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and possess a desire to serve God through the music ministry.
- Male Chorus: The membership of the Male Chorus shall consist of male adult members.
- Youth Choir: The membership of the Youth Choir shall consist of individuals, minimum of 3 years of age.
- Praise Team: The membership of the Praise Team shall consist of auditioned individuals appointed by the Minister of Music capable of leading worship and are versatile vocalists.
